Poornima is a professionally trained Montessori educator. Hailing from a family of teachers, she is deeply involved in working with young children. She believes in laying a strong foundation during the early childhood years. She believes learning is a two way process and seeks every possible opportunity to draw inspiration and insights from the chikldren.
Interaction and productive engagement with students have been the driving forces for Aruna to take up teaching for a career. She teaches Accountancy to senior school students. She encourages strong conceptual understanding and adopts the ‘Why & How’ technique in the classroom. Her academic qualifications include a Masters in Commerce, Intermediate in Chartered Accountancy and Cost Accountancy and Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning. She has over 12 years of teaching experience and firmly believes that a healthy and empowered class environment is key to effective learning.
Smitha Krishna is a trained Montessori Educator and has a B.Ed(Special Education) to her credit, She has undergone an intensive Teacher’s Training course by Madras Dyslexia Association(MDA) to further consolidate her knowledge and skill. A compassionate teacher, she believes learning is a continuous process. She has been with Harishree for over 10 years and looks forward to more and more productive work with the young minds.
Savitha is an energetic and exuberant teacher who enjoys working with children. A graduate in English Literature, she has over 16 years of teaching experience in Primary. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s in education. She endeavours to make her class sessions lively, interactive and positive for the children.
Shailaja is a Master’s in Psychology, with specialization in Clinical Psychology. She is presently a research scholar, pursuing a PhD programme in Psychology at the Chennai University. She is a trained de-addiction Counselor and has been a freelance counselor for more than 20 years. A passionate teacher, she believes teaching is not giving children theory and information for them to summate, but what is taught needs to be assimilated, accommodated and rendered ready for application. She endeavours to not merely cover the syllabus but ensures each child is able to internalize within an experiential field.
Chinnu Merin is a Political Science enthusiast who facilitates Political Science, History and Civics. She encourages her students to learn and understand about our society, country and government. She has completed her masters’ degree and also Master of Philosophjy in Political Science. She is committed to make learning interesting and fun, through interactive and engaging teaching strategies. She strives to motivate every student to grow up as a proactive citizen of the nation.
Revathy Mohanan is a passionate Tamil teacher and holds a Master’s degree in Tamil Literature. Her deep love for the language and children helped her give direction to her career. She encourages her students to express themselves in Tamil and uses fun activities/games to emphasize grammar concepts. She endeavours to instill enthusiasm in her students to learn and use Tamil for creativity and communication. She has been a teacher for over 10 years and brings her rich and varied experience to her profession.
Smitha Gangadharan is a jubilant Montessori facilitator at the Harishree Junior Campus. She is a certified Montessorian with over 9 years of experience. She loves to interact with children and work with them. She is an enthusiastic learner herself, enjoys challenges and anything creative and artistic in nature.
Jenitha Prabhakaran has a deep love for the French language and has completed B2 level in French at L’Alliance Française de Madras, besides a Master’s in Communication. She believes that a new language opens a door to new perspectives and culture; she aims to achieve the same for the students through French. Her classes are interactive where the students are encouraged to think, write and speak in French.
Santhanalakshmi is an enthusiastic teacher with over 5 years of teaching experience. With her educational qualification in engineering and business administration, she completed her teachers’ training program and is pursuing her career as a teacher. She believes teachers are learners too, and constantly makes an attempt to draw inspiration and insights from her students. She endeavours to make learning fun for her students and derives great satisfaction from their happiness.
