Utsav – The Journey Begins

Temples of Tamil Nadu

The webinar by Mr. Bharath Chandrasekaram gave an insight into the brilliant architectural and sculptural skills of the artisans of our land. It was almost a virtual tour of the famous temples of Tamil Nadu tracing the history and evolution during the period of Pallava and Chola kings. He explained the difference between the architectural style of the Pallavas and Cholas and how the Cholas reformed and brought in magnificence to the structure. He very vividly highlighted the distinct and unique features of the Brihadeeswara temple, kailasanathar temple, the early rock cut and monolith temples built during the reign of different dynasties. The lucid style of explanation along with pictures and focus on minute details, left the audience awestruck and paved the way for a deeper understanding to appreciate the uniqueness of our culture.

Independence Day – Celebrating Freedom

Independence Day has great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred, and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be hampered. So, it’s important to celebrate Indian Independence every year as a festival. Pandemic cannot stop us from doing our bit as an Indian, respecting Indian Independence and the struggle behind it. Principal along with a few teachers and coordinators hoisted the flag following the covid protocols. It was a very emotional moment for those present. The event was live on Facebook for Hari Shree teachers and students to salute the flag.

The unforgettable Feast (Grades 9 and 10) When a girl tries to convince a priest to prepare more prasadam during a festival, he tells her the story of how Lord Kubera, the God of Wealth, learns from Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha about the secret of satisfying hunger – in an unforgettable feast!

As is our practice we invoked the divine blessings from the Almighty to guide and bless our children to do their best in the Board Exams.

To Reconnect And To Refresh

Our Virtual Alumni Meet on 3rd April was not only a moment of happiness and pride for us but also an opportunity for all our past students to share their success stories and experiences with each other. They also shared their ideas in contributing to building a supportive alumni community by strengthening their ties with the school. It was a meeting of memories and nostalgia!

Pongal Celebrations

The online classrooms in Primary resonated with Pongalo Pongal! It carried the message of gratitude to the elements of Sun & Rain, also the animals and the farmers for providing us with food. Children celebrated the harvest festival through traditional song & dance and produced beautiful craftwork of popup cards, drawings and decorated bullock carts symbolic of Pongal.

FITNIC Friday

This is the most awaited event in the Primary. The children love the fitness challenges and look forward to the recipes of the yummy healthy snacks. The final Fitnic Friday sessions were enthralling to watch and be part of, with challenges like mountain climbing, high knee crunches, balancing and doing opposites, crab walks, movement chains, twists, planks etc. The children wrapped it up slurping their smoothies and munching their delicious healthy snacks.

Talkathon

The children of Grades IV & V were encouraged to take the stage and speak to a virtual audience in Talkathon, a five-week event. They were given an opportunity to speak to an audience with very little preparation time or going extempore for some. It was a proud moment for us to watch the children quell their fluttering butterflies and conquer their audience with their wit and confidence. The children spoke on various topics through a variety of events like Jam, Mad Ads & Weave a story. These enthralling sessions were interactive too where the audience responded to the speakers through healthy discussions and friendly banter after their speeches.

Be Aware and Connect with Care

An interactive session was conducted for our middle school children to teach them the basics of staying safe online and to remember that cyber safety should always be a priority. Our aim was to keep them safe and healthy while growing up in the digital age.
